How it works
From the launch to the knockout.
The launch
You pick two types and a coin for each. The first transaction creates the left coin on pump.fun and opens the battle; the second creates the rival, adds it, and takes the starting line. Your opening buys, if any, go in before the starting line, so they are the baseline and not a free first round.
The program only opens a battle for a real matchup: one type has to hit the other for 2x, ½x or no effect in at least one direction. Each coin can fight in one battle only.
The fees
Each coin's pump.fun creator is its own Pokepair program address, so creator fees arrive without anyone signing for them. A sweep, which anyone can trigger, moves them on: 70% into the battle's pot, 30% to the launcher's wallet. Pokepair takes nothing.
The round
A round lasts at least 24 hours and anyone can close it. A side's score is its SOL on the bonding curve averaged over the round, minus where it started. Readings are taken every minute by a keeper, and anyone can take one. Each gap between two readings is charged at the lower of the two, which is what stops a buy that is gone by the next reading from counting.
The higher score, if it is above zero, is owed everything unassigned in the pot. If neither side gained, the pot rolls into the next round.
The underdog
Most matchups favour one side. For each step the chart goes against a type (½x against 2x is two steps), its gains count 12.5% more and its losses count less. Electric against Water: Water's gains count 112.5%. Fire against Water: Fire's count 125%.
The burn
What a side is owed is spent buying it, by anyone, at most 2 SOL per call so a sandwich is not worth it. On the curve it is a pump.fun buy; after graduation it is a PumpSwap buy. Every token bought is burned in the same instruction, and the pot address signs nothing else.
The knockout
The first coin to fill its bonding curve wins the battle. Rounds stop, the pot is owed to the winner, and every fee from either coin afterwards is owed to the winner too. If both curves are seen full at the same reading it is a draw and the pot splits.
Evolution
Round wins are counted per side. Two wins is stage 2, five is stage 3. It is a number the program keeps and the site draws; it moves no money.
